Pool in Wharfedale, recorded in the Domesday Book, with a Conservation Area, a modern community and thriving social media.
The Pool Youth Club Group held its first meeting in January 2013 and has turned out to be a huge success. Currently there are over 110 members ranging from 8-14 year olds, with 45-50 children attending each week.
They now intend to buy new equipment, possibly a table football game and another large board game. They also run a very successful and popular tuck shop which is kindly run by a small number of children (a big thank you to them).
The Group are in the early stages of organising a weekend away in a PGL camp which will be very exciting for the children who will have a chance to let their hair down and enjoy many outdoor activities, including zip wires, climbing walls, kayaking, and many more activities at reasonable prices. They hope to subsidise a percentage of the camp costs from fundraising and have already received a donation that will cover the cost of one child’s attendance. The group has also recently been donated a 32" TV, so would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped with the venture so far!.
New members always welcome, and if you require more details or make a donation please email firstname.lastname@example.org
