Amanda Brayshaw, VAL's new Business Support Programme Worker, introduces herself and writes about her new role.
Hello, I'm Amanda Brayshaw and I started at Voluntary Action Leeds last week. I would like to introduce myself and write about my new role.
Business Support Programme
Over that last week I have been busy settling into my new team and learning all about my new role as the Business Support Programme Worker. The Business Support Programme is an exciting new development overseen by VAL which will be available shortly. The Programme will provide access to an approved network of providers that deliver services to meet the needs of third sector organisations in Leeds.
I will also be overseeing VAL's training programme - VAL provides training relevant to third sector organisations such as charities, non profit enterprises and small groups, but courses are open to everyone.
Away from VAL
Previously I worked at Crime Reductions Initiatives as a case manager for individuals involved with the criminal justice system, supporting them to make positive changes. I am also a yoga instructor and enjoy teaching energetic Rocket Yoga classes all over Leeds with my company Yoga Elementz. As you can see from above I love animals; I live with a slightly insane German Shepard Cross called Kiki.
Get in touch
I am really looking forward to getting started on both my projects at VAL. I am based at Stringer House and you can get in touch with me on 0113 297 7944 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
