What to do if you need to cancel your course
All VAL courses are subsidised for voluntary and community groups and non-attendance means that this money is lost or that we can run fewer courses in future. In addition we often have waiting lists where places could be filled if appropriate notice of a cancellation is given.
As a result all courses must be paid for in advance and in full. Cancellations must be made in writing, either by email, letter or fax. Cancellations for PAID courses must be made at least 14 days in advance (not including the day of cancellation and the day of the event). Cancellations which occur within 14 days of the event will not be refunded.
If you have registered for a FREE course and are unable to attend for any reason you must provide written notice of your non-attendance at least 14 days prior to the event. This 14 days does not include the day of cancellation or the day of the event. If we do not receive advanced warning before this period of time you will be charged a £10 non-attendance fee.
You may delegate another member of your organisation to attend in your place rather than lose any fees.
To cancel your place please email: email@example.com
You can also write to: VAL Training, Stringer House, 34 Lupton Street, Leeds LS10 2QW, or fax the cancellation request in writing to: 0113 297 7921
Online courses are subject to the same cancellation policy as standard VAL courses.
If you have any technical issues you should contact the Trainer in the first instance, alternatively email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone Voluntary Action Leeds on 0113 2977920 for further assistance.
We offer a full refund for cancelled course bookings providing our terms and conditions are met and we receive 10 working days notice.
With fewer than 10 working days notice you will be charged the full course fee and this applies to organisations that have been awarded a bursary.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you cannot attend and would like a refund, by emailing email@example.com.
