What to do if you need to cancel your course
All VAL courses are subsidised for voluntary and community groups and non-attendance means that this money is lost or that we can run fewer courses in future. In addition we often have waiting lists where places could be filled if appropriate notice of a cancellation is given.
All courses must now be paid for in advance and in full. Cancellations must be made in writing, either by email, letter or fax.
Even if the course is FREE and you book a place and are unable to attend for any reason (i.e. illness, or other circumstances) and cannot send another colleague in your place, you must let us know, the sooner the better. If you give us less than 14 days’ notice you will be charged a £10 non attendance fee.
You may delegate another member of your organisation to attend in your place rather than lose any fees.
To cancel your place please email: email@example.com
You can also write to: VAL Training, Stringer House, 34 Lupton Street, Leeds LS10 2QW, or fax the cancellation request in writing to: 0113 297 7921
Online courses are subject to the same cancellation policy as standard VAL courses. Once you have booked and paid for a course, if you wish to cancel you must do so before accessing the portal and within seven days of purchase.
If you have any technical issues you should contact the Trainer in the first instance, alternatively email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone Voluntary Action Leeds on 0113 2977920 for further assistance.
We offer a full refund for cancelled course bookings providing our terms and conditions are met and we receive 10 working days notice.
With fewer than 10 working days notice you will be charged the full course fee and this applies to organisations that have been awarded a bursary.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you cannot attend and would like a refund, please email email@example.com.
