Leeds has a vision to be the UK’s best city. An essential part of this ambition is being the best city for children and young people.
Leeds' commitment to being the best city for children and young people is founded on the global movement of Child Friendly Cities initiated by UNICEF, and driven by the voices of children and young people here in Leeds.
Whether you’re a small group or a large organisation, whatever area you work in, you can get involved with making Leeds a child friendly city:
- For the chance to play a part in how Leeds develops as a city through working with its youngest citizens
- To support and provide opportunities for children and young people where they live
- To expand the aspirations and ambitions of children and young people in their community
- To enthuse and engage the people you work with to be part of a shared ambition for Leeds
