Our Concurrent Planning service is all about giving very young children the best start in life. The largest of its kind in the country, this exciting, creative and innovative service minimises disruption and unnecessary moves for very young children.

Concurrent Planning is for babies and young children aged 0 - 3 who are likely to need adoption, but who still have a chance of being reunited with their birth family. Concurrent carers initially perform the role of foster carer while the courts decide whether or not a child can return to its birth family. If the courts decide that the child’s parents cannot provide the care they need, and there are no alternative carers from within the birth family, the child will remain with their concurrent carer/s and be adopted by them.

The service is a partnership between two long established charities and independent adoption agencies, Caritas Care and Adoption Matters. Come along to our friendly information event and find out more about this service from our experienced team of adoption professionals.

This event is open to everyone who would like to find out more about adopting through concurrent planning and we welcome anyone interested in this alternative route to adoption. However this is not a drop in event, so please can we ask you to book your place by calling the Concurrent Planning team on: 0300 123 1050 or email:  Back to all events
