Supporting people and communities to stay healthy and well – the role of the third sector

A workshop, delivered in partnership with Forum Central, will explore developments in health and care, and the role that the third sector has to play within this.

When Thursday 6 February at 9:45am to 12:30pm
Where Leeds Church Institute
20 New Market Street Leeds LS1 6DG
The NHS is a national institution but is under increasing pressure as society changes and the expectations of people about how they receive health and care evolve.
The NHS Long Term Plan was published in January 2019 and sets out a vision for how the health service will develop over the next decade, including providing better, joined up care and strengthening its contribution to prevention and addressing health inequalities.
  • But how is the vision set out in the plan being implemented in Leeds?
  • What are we doing differently?
  • And how can the third sector play a part in this?
Join us at the next TSL workshop to gain an update on what work is happening in the world of health and care in Leeds.
We believe the third sector has a particularly important role to play in promoting preventative approaches and addressing the wider determinants of health – including housing, employment and transport – in order to help people and communities stay healthy and well.
