Join us to explore how the 3rd sector in Leeds is embracing digital tools and methods to serve communities through the Covid pandemic.
|When||Tuesday 29 September at 12:00pm to 2:00pm|
Aim: To explore how the 3rd sector in Leeds, with support from 100% Digital and system partners, is embracing digital tools and methods to ensure key information and essential services are delivered to our diverse Leeds communities through the Covid Pandemic.
Background: The third sector has responded adeptly and in many ways thrived despite the significant challenges of Covid. A recent Healthwatch Leeds report looking at Risks and Opportunities for Reducing Health Inequalities in Leeds through digitisation highlighted poverty, age, literacy and communication preferences, skills and motivation, precarious lifestyles, privacy, disability & specific conditions and trust in IT as factors which make people likely to experience digital exclusion. This work was produced within the context of unprecedented challenges imposed by the coronavirus pandemic, within which many face-to-face services across the health and care system have moved to digital platforms.
Format: The online session will communicate the dynamic response of the third sector in Leeds during the Covid 19 pandemic through a mix of presentations, films, and other artistic outputs. The session takes place over lunchtime so please feel free to bring your lunch along with you.
Content: The session will be focused around talks from a range of third sector organisations, each of which was able to maintain and, in some cases, enhance support to people and communities through positively adopting digital tools and methods in their work.
