Voluntary Action Leeds are recruiting a permanent administration officer for 13.5 hours per week.   

How we work at Voluntary Action Leeds 

At Voluntary Action Leeds we recruit to a generic job description meaning staff are able to work on various funded projects across the organisation.  This requires team members who are flexible, adaptable and have a range of transferable skills.  Staff members can be moved around the organisation to deliver relevant pieces of work that maximise their skills, knowledge and experience, and contribute towards our organisational aims. 

This role 

We’re looking for a skilled administrator to be a key part of VAL’s networks and forums team as well as providing support to the wider organisation. You will be highly organised and have the confidence to work independently, whilst keeping colleagues up to date on progress.

A large part of the role will be committed to offering administration support to Third Sector Leeds; Leeds’ leading policy voice advocating for the interests of the third sector.

 Primary functions will include:

  • Working with the Co-ordinator Networks and Forums and TSL’s Independent Chair to prepare agendas and take formal meeting minutes
  • Taking a lead on designing public documents (engaging with our communications team as necessary),
  • Maintaining TSL’s webpages and updating our social media accounts
  • Planning and organising meeting dates with TSL Leadership Group members and statutory partners
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of TSL’s events programme
  • Engaging with the wider work of the networks and forums team
  • Delivering activities for our central administration team including providing a welcoming reception front desk and supporting our room hire service
