Previously a government demonstration project, the Together Women Project (TWP) is now an independent charity with centres in Hull, South Yorkshire, Bradford, Leeds and in New Hall Prison. TWP also provides support for women from hub facilities in Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield. TWP provides intensive support to vulnerable women but specialises in supporting women with experience of the criminal justice system. The ultimate aim is to help vulnerable women turn their lives around and address issues which are linked to offending or which place a woman at risk. In 2016 TWP were contracted to provide women services on behalf of West Yorkshire Community Rehabilitation Company. TWP are currently looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team.
The post-holder will deliver TWP’s Peer Mentor training programme to the cohort of mentors and co-ordinate mentors to provide peer support for women accessing TWP services across the 5 West Yorkshire localities. The postholder will also generate and manage unpaid work referrals, sourcing appropriate unpaid work placements for the women with Community Payback orders. Also this role entails collaborative work with external agencies including probation and other voluntary services therefore, requires an individual who is an enthusiastic team player and enjoys a challenge. We are looking for people who will instil a culture of continuous improvement, through dialogue with service users and share the values of our organisation in supporting vulnerable women.
