Behind Closed Doors (BCD) is responsible for delivering support services to people whose lives are affected by domestic violence and abuse in Leeds and we work to raise community awareness of the issues. BCD is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to provide one to one emotional support to those who have experienced domestic violence and abuse.
The role of the Prevention and Recovery Service (PARS) Community Worker is to work as a member of the PARS team within BCD, providing support to people who are still in abusive relationships but at low/medium risk and those who have left the abuse but require support to recover.
Behind Closed Doors welcomes applications from women from all sections of the community. This post is open to women only (Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 (Part 1) Occupational Requirement).
