Jigsaw Management Board Maintaining relationships between prisoners and their loved ones Jigsaw is a dynamic and innovative charity working across 2 sites, HMP Leeds and HMP Wealstun, to provide a range of services at our prison sites and in the community, offering emotional support, advice and guidance, rehabilitation and family time. We actively enable offenders and their loved ones to sustain meaningful relationships to benefit them during time in custody and beyond. Set up in 1999, Jigsaw is a highly respected, specialist charity with a strong track record. Following recent expansion and a strategy review, we are now looking for able and motivated individuals to join our Board of Trustees, to help lead and guide this important work. We’re especially interested in hearing from people with: • A background in communications and/ or marketing • Senior experience in charity finance and/or accounting We are looking for people who are excited by our work, share our values and will play an active part in the work of our Board. The Jigsaw Board meets 6 times a year in Leeds for up to 2 hours. We also expect each Trustee to attend one of our 2 committees; Funding, Finance and Strategy and People, Policies and Procedures; these meet 4 times each year for around 1 ½ hours. In addition other contact, usually electronic or by telephone, will be necessary. We can pay travel expenses but of course the role of Trustee is unpaid. If you have any initial queries please contact Jigsaw’s Project Director, Lee Stephenson, by email at Lee@jigsawvisitorscentre.org.uk or by telephone 0113 2032511. To register your interest please email Lee your CV with additional information about your experience and what you feel you would bring to the role which should be no more than one side of A4. If you would like to speak to a member of the board please state this in your email or expression of interest and either the Chair or Vice Chair will contact you. Closing date for expressions of interest is Sunday 31 March 2019. |
