People in Action have an exciting opportunity for an individual with a lived experience of mental health difficulties to facilitate a pilot peer support group for our members to enable men and women with learning disabilities and autism to talk about mental health issues.

The successful candidate will be able to achieve a stable rate of attendees to the programme and support and motivate members to have a secure open forum to discuss mental health and wellbeing issues and making positive changes to their lives. The peer support mentor will facilitate the sessions whilst keeping members safe, information confidential and ability to empower members to participate during the group session. You will be highly organised, a strong understanding of mental health difficulties and have the ability to work unsupervised during group sessions.
