Wetherby and District Foodbank (WADFB) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation which was established in 2014 for the purpose of helping those in the local community in food crisis.

WADFB is affiliated to The Trussell Trust national network of food banks. It is a well run and financially secure organisation supported by a large number of volunteers and local organisations. It employs one, part time paid employee in a project management capacity.

Since its formation WADFB has helped hundreds of individuals, couples and families in crisis as well as many other local charities.

We are seeking to appoint a new Chairperson to lead our Board of Trustees and the continuing development of the charity, particularly as the role of food banks in our communities becomes ever more important.

Currently, the Board of Trustees comprises 6-7 trustees and meets routinely 3 times a year. A Steering Group of lead volunteers, led by the Project Manager, meets bi monthly to manage the daily food bank operations and it reports into the Board of Trustees.
