Our Counselling & Psychotherapy Service provides community based individual and group counselling to adults, children and young people.
As part of this we provide counselling, family systemic psychotherapy and emotional wellbeing services across schools clusters including Inner East, Pudsey, Bramley, Armley, JESS, Headingley and Kirkstall, Temple Newsam, BCM and Leeds SILCs.
Schools counsellors provide targeted emotional health and wellbeing support, via a range of interventions, for children and young people.
The purpose of the Child and Family Therapist role is to provide short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to pupils (5-19 years) and their parents/carers and to evaluate the outcomes of those interventions.
Applicants must hold a relevant counselling qualification, have experience of working to support the emotional wellbeing of children and their families and have a good understanding of the particular factors and issues faced by children and young people in relation to the maintenance of good mental health and emotional wellbeing.
