GIPSIL is a community based organisation providing housing, counselling, advice and support to young people at risk in Leeds.
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to join the Help Through Crisis Team providing advocacy, advice (including benefits) and support to young people aged 16-25 who present in hardship crisis at Archway, working on an outreach basis to access and work with the young people. You will have a good understanding of issues facing young people and be able to provide information and liaise with parents and carers and other agencies where appropriate.
The main responsibilities of the post are: -
· To provide advocacy, advice and support to young people aged 16-25 who present in hardship crisis at Archway.
·To work on an outreach basis to access and work with young people who are experiencing hardship crisis.
·To work closely with the project’s partner organisation, Getaway Girls.
· Carry out assessments, maintain case records and provide reports as required. · Liaise with parents / carers and other agencies where appropriate.
