You will support young people from south Asian communities aged 12-18 years at risk of child sexual exploitation, developing initiatives to build awareness and resilience and ensuring the provision of support services directly and through onward referral to other agencies. You will need an understanding of the issues and cultural barriers faced by young people in marginalised communities.
You will target and deliver sessions to victims and vulnerable young people within the community as well as manage one to one caseloads. You will need an understanding of safeguarding issues relating to young people affected by sexual exploitation (training will be provided) and experience of group work. Applicants should either hold or be working towards a relevant qualification in social work, teaching or youth work, or have equivalent relevant experience.
