LJWB are currently seeking a Registered Care Home Manager for our 5 bedded care home for adults with learning disabilities in North Leeds. Rated as ‘Good’ by CQC we are looking for a Manager with the drive, determination and experience to take our home to outstanding.
You will be fully supported to carry out your role with assistance and guidance from our Quality team, in-house Trainer, HR and Finance department.
The ideal applicant will have an NVQ Level 5 or equivalent and have considerable experience at senior level of running and managing a care home – at least 3 years. Leading by example you will hold excellent numeric and budgetary skills and have a good degree of literacy to ensure that our documentation is exemplary.
Your knowledge base will include the regulatory framework for delivering registered care and development of person-centre support plans to enable our service users to lead fulfilled and active lives.
An extensive background working with adults with Learning Disabilities / Physical Disabilities, Autism or behaviours that challenge is a must. Daily duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Overall responsibility for the effective running of the home ensuring service users are placed at the heart of everything - developing and delivering strategic plans to become outstanding.
• Managing, deploying and supporting staff teams to deliver our quality standards and meet service user outcomes.
• Achieving personal and service objectives, maintaining standards and adhering to LJWB policies and procedures, local authority contractual requirements, Safeguarding and CQC requirements.

Successful applicants are required to undertake an enhanced DBS and a Driving Licence is required to allow you to use company vehicles. You will be required to work flexibility to meet the needs of the home and take part in the home’s sleep-in arrangement at least 12 times per year.
