Support Worker – Count Me In One to One Service Do you want to join our dedicated team of support workers and make a real difference to our members lives?

We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen within our Count Me In Service (One to One support) for support workers who are available to work during the day, evenings and weekends.

The role will be to provide one to one support that is tailored to meet the individual needs of the member and fulfill their personal goals.  The successful candidate will support our members who have mild, moderate to complex needs and/or challenging behaviour, with learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s and mental health difficulties.

If you are an individual that craves variety, a support worker role with People in Action can give you this. No two days are quite the same. You will be supporting members to gain an education, supporting them and developing life skills such as financial budgeting, weekly shopping, attending medical appointments and enjoying fun activities such as meals out, cinema trips and attending community events/groups.

This will require a flexible and imaginative approach to fulfilling the choices, requiring building up of knowledge and contacts within local services.

We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 12 months experience working within a care / support work setting. The individual will have the ability to encourage and engage our members to meet their needs and aspirations. It would be advantageous if you were a car driver with business insurance. Expenses are paid for mileage use at 45p per mile.

Various hours available from 3 hours per week to full time (40 hrs) depending on your availability.

To apply, please visit our website to download the job description and application form.

Alternatively you can contact Leigh-Ann Hays, HR Officer to request an application pack or further information on or 0113 244 3729.
