Description

A fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing charity serving those in need across Leeds — full application pack can be downloaded below.

At Leeds Baby Bank we provide essential baby equipment to families in crisis using a referral service through a health or social care professional. We help to reduce landfill and promote a more sustainable city through the majority of our donations being pre-loved, donated from one family to another. We are passionate about building community and have an active regular volunteer team as well as numerous student placements and local business volunteer days. The charity is run currently by three trustees.

We are seeing a steadily increasing demand for our service and are having to adapt quickly to best respond to this. We want to appoint a charity manager that will be able to take a lead on creating systems to most effectively meet this demand. We also want to explore ways to build good long-term relationships with our service users through community groups.

We are looking for an experienced manager to join our team on a part time basis of 20 hours per week for an initial twelve-month period. Responsible to the trustees, the manager will provide leadership to the charity, focusing on referrals, fundraising and volunteer recruitment.

The ideal candidate will have previous management experience, excellent communication skills and strong knowledge of the charity sector. They will have a passion for building community and helping vulnerable young children.

This is a new post focused on providing day to day oversight and management of the charity’s operations and future projects. This is a varied and exciting role for the right candidate to bring along their own experience and ideas to help shape the future of Leeds Baby Bank.

It would be an advantage, although not essential, if the successful applicant had use of a car and would be able to obtain business insurance.

In return we can offer flexible working and a 3% pension contribution.

The closing date for completed applications is 12.00 noon on Thursday 11 June 2020.   Interviews will be held on Friday 19 June 2020.

We do not accept CV's.  The application pack is downloadable below.
