An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Stronger Families team as an Outreach Worker based at the referral Hub in Leeds. The role will involve making initial contact with individuals waiting for support from Stronger Families, provide face-to-face triage, link in and refer to support services whilst waiting for Key Worker support and support promotion activity. The programme is part of Building Better Opportunities, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund.
The programme is delivered in Bradford and Leeds to support families to overcome the barriers preventing access to education, training, employment and skills building. We’re looking for an Outreach Worker who has an understanding of the needs of vulnerable families and is able to build trust and build positive relationships. A great team player with lots of energy, you’ll also need good communication skills, a flexible approach, and positive attitude.
With empathy, understanding and patience, we’ll not only expect you to love talking to people – but be passionate about helping them too. You’ll be able to build positive working relationships with those in other organisations and be a positive advocate for and promote the Stronger Families programme.
