A wide range of mental health support services are delivered by third sector by organisations, in a variety of settings from housing and the arts, to the environment and community development, all aim to improve the mental health of people in Leeds.

Volition is an alliance of third sector organisations that provide services, or work with, people who have mental health needs in Leeds.
Almost 90 organisations are members of Volition, they are supported through:
Promoting networking, partnership and best outcomes for people with mental health needs across all sectors.
Regular updates about what is happening in mental health through a members’ mailing and monthly printed newsletter.
Provision of information about the mental health third sector for partners and stakeholders.
Ensuring that the mental health third sector is represented and able to participate in strategic planning both in Leeds and nationally.

A commitment to improving the participation of smaller organisations, many of whom work with disadvantaged communities.
