Local mental health charity Community Links retains Investors in People Gold and continues to be a Champion organisation
As one of the first organisations ever to achieve the Investors in People (IIP) Gold Award in 2010, Community Links has been assessed for a second time and once again meets IIP Gold and retains the prestigious title of Investors in People Champion.
The Investors in People assessor was impressed with the 'commitment and passion' of all at Community Links and stated that “Community Links is without doubt client focused, committed to excellence, values diversity and has a real ethos of instilling hope and improving the quality of life for everyone using the services”.
IIP Gold represents achievement of world-class best practice. It shows Community Links as a truly cutting-edge organisation operating at the very highest levels of people management practice. Just under 4% of Investors in People organisations nationally achieve Gold accreditation and Community Links is one of only 25 charities in the North of England to achieve the standard.
Celebrating their achievement, Donna Gooby Director for Diversity and HR said “All employees are highly skilled, professional, passionate and committed to achieving excellence but we've never taken this dedication for granted, so we're thrilled to know that our goal of making Community Links a truly great place to work has received official recognition from Investors in People."
Jon Woolmore, Chief Executive of Community Links said “Community Links is proud to lead by example and the Gold award proves that charities can achieve great things during challenging times.” "We believe that being recognised as an Investor in People shows that everyone in our organisation is committed to living our values and providing excellence in all that we do, to improve the lives of the people that we work with." Retaining the Gold and being an IIP Champion builds upon the success Community Links has already achieved by being included in the prestigious Sunday Times 100 Best Places to Work in the Public/Third Sector 2013 four year running and being listed in as Best Company six years running.
