New degree for the voluntary and community sector

The University of Leicester is offering an online Foundation Degree in Managing Voluntary and Community Organisations.

The new Foundation Degree is designed to give students access to a wealth of knowledge to provide them with management skills and the information needed to negotiate with official agencies and funders.

The new course explores issues surrounding the setting up and effective management of voluntary organisations for those within the sector and to enhance career prospects within a community context.

The course is delivered on a part-time basis and is taught via distance learning which offers a flexible approach to learning and is ideal for those juggling other commitments. Entry requirements are flexible and applications will be considered from people with an interest in, and experience of, related occupations but who do not possess formal qualifications.
