Voluntary Action Leeds' Prisoner and Ex Offender Project has been featured by the Institute of Volunteering Research, part of NCVO, as a leading example of innovation in social action.

Voluntary Action Leeds has recently secured funding to develop and expand its successful model of volunteer centre services tailored for people with criminal convictions. The project will be setting up two new volunteer centres within prisons in Yorkshire, adapting its service to support more women and young people with convictions, in partnership with Leeds Volunteer Manager's Network, Together Women Project and Youth Offending Services.
