U3A Leeds is part of a national U3A movement aimed at older people no longer in full time employment.
There are over 25 interest groups including: Spanish, French, German, bird watching, Tai Chi, Choir, bridge, racketball, gardening, music appreciation, book group, walking, country and circle dancing, wine tasting, local history and Shakespeare reading.
In addition they have a general meeting on certain Tuesday afternoons with guest speakers on a range of topics followed by time to socialise over tea and biscuits.
