Local charity Age UK Leeds announces the appointment of new CEO.
The trustees of Age UK Leeds announced this week the appointment of a new Chief Executive, Heather O’Donnell. Speaking on the appointment, Barry Seal, Chair of the Age UK Leeds said:
The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Heather O’Donnell as our new Chief Executive. Heather has worked for Age UK Leeds for the past two and a half years as Commercial Director and has a good knowledge and understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing older people living in Leeds. She brings a wealth of experience having worked previously in the NHS in Leeds and Wakefield as a manager and non-executive director.
Heather also worked for the World Health Organisation in Vietnam and Cambodia, supporting health sector development. The Board of Trustees recently agreed our strategy for the next three years and Heather’s role will be pivotal in developing the role of Age UK Leeds in supporting older people in the city.”
I am truly delighted to be appointed as CEO of Age UK Leeds and I’m looking forward to working with trustees, staff, volunteers and partner organisations to promote the well-being of all older people in Leeds."
