Leeds Local Offer and the Voluntary Sector

The Children and Families Act 2014 is changing how Leeds City Council work with children and young people aged 0-25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families. Part of that is how they provide information about what is available right here in Leeds, their “Leeds Local Offer” of services.

Leeds Local Offer

To make sure they do this, and do it right, they have been working intensively with their customers. They have found out what kind of information they want about a service before they try it.

If you want to be part of the Leeds Local Offer, please get in touch with the Best Practice Team. They are part of the Leeds City Council Complex Needs Service and they have guidance about how to write (or re-write) your own webpage so it will give families the right information. We will link directly to your web page, so you only have to keep your own web site up-to-date!

Deadline

Email bpteam@leeds.gov.uk before 20 July 2014 to be included for September. If you want to learn more about it first, visit www.leeds.gov.uk/localoffer
