Support from Babington Group to organisations offering work placements to young people aged 16-24.
Traineeships is a funded programme designed for people aged 16-24 who are almost ready for work/apprenticeships. There are four strands to Traineeships:
- Work experience placement
- English and Maths (if not already achieved)
- Work preparation (skills, knowledge and attitude)
- Vocational qualification – where required, not essential
Support to organisations
Could your organisation take a cohort of young people on a work experience placement for 1-2 days per week for 16 weeks? Babington Group will provide the other elements of the programme.
This is a great opportunity to recruit young people on a placement to work within your organisation on real life projects and activities. This could include anything from visitor reception duties, restoration/heritage activities, research, working in a retail outlet, supporting conferencing and events, marketing and publicity, social media support, administration, community garden etc. Babington can also provide travel expenses etc to young people. Financial incentives (subject to eligibility) are available for placement providers.
