Would you be interested in showcasing your garden project to a Leeds-wide audience, attracting more visitors and possibly encouraging new volunteers ? If so, please consider taking part in the Feed Leeds Edible Open Gardens event.
Feed Leeds is planning an inaugural Edible Open Gardens day and is looking for gardens to participate – this event will be free to register and will be promoted across the city to growers, residents and through various PR sources. Garden entry will be free, but each garden can ask for donations and sell plants, produce and refreshments.
Please share this event with any Edible Growing contacts across Leeds who may be interested in participating.
When: Sunday 7th June 2015
WHERE: This event is open to any Edible Community Garden in Leeds. A walking route from Kirkstall to the City Centre has been proposed but gardens outside of this area will also be considered (Feed Leeds will produce a downloadable Tour Map which can be used for visitors to plan their journey).
WHAT: Edible gardens opening their gates for the day so visitors can ·
- Take a look at the growing on site
- Speak to current staff and volunteers (optional)
- Take part in family activities (optional)
- Have a cuppa or buy plants / goods to raise funds for your garden (optional)
HOW: Register you interest by 31st March 2015 by email below – the event is free to participate and Feed Leeds will promote the event through local PR, social media and are hoping to provide downloadable posters so you can advertise the event locally
