Holbeck Elderly Aid have nominated their long serving volunteer Anne Hepburn for the Unsung Hero Award for her unwavering support and dedication to their services to older people in Leeds.  We provide support for older people facing loneliness and isolation by providing activities and befriending services, many of which Anne helps to run.

The Chief Officer said of the award: "We are delighted that Lloyds Bank Foundation have recognised Anne's invaluable voluntary work in the Holbeck community.  Anne provides vital support and her detailed consideration of individuals' needs is an inspiration.  Anne is dedicated, unassuming and modest in her manner. An Angel".

Chief Executive of the Foundation, Paul Streets OBE, said of the awards: "We are delighted to celebrate the winners of our Charity Achievement Awards. Holbeck Elderly Aid has demonstrated excellent and inspiring practice, and have set the standard high; not just surviving in these tough times, but thriving, delivering vital services and literally transforming lives".
