Victims of Hate Crime: Extraordinary Grant Round

Mark Burns-Williamson, West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner, is launching this extraordinary grant round to support his commitments to and delivery of hate crime.

In his recent hate crime awareness campaign Mark stated that raising awareness of hate crime and how to report it is a key priority within the Police and Crime Plan.  He also wants victims and witnesses of hate crime to feel able to come forward and report it to individuals and organisations, because it is not acceptable in any form. Everyone has a responsibility to challenge the attitudes and behaviours that foster hatred because early intervention and education can made a real difference to communities ensure they are safer and feel safer.

Mark now invites individuals or organisations to submit their proposals providing detail of how their bid will support victims of hate crimes, the cost to do this, and how they will evidence success.

Please circulate this email as widely as possible, you can follow this link for further information  The deadline for applications is 12:00 noon on Friday 11 December 2015.
