The KidsOut Question of Sport Leeds will be held on the 3rd of March at Elland Road. Promising an exhilarating mix of networking opportunities, entertainment and competition, the event will be hosted by sporting star Kevin Keegan and feature guest appearances from Leeds legends Colin Cooper, Tom Cleverley, Eddie Gray, Paul Reaney, Frank Worthington, Mel Sterland and Neil Sullivan. More than 800 guests are expected to attend, representing some of Leeds’s largest companies. The evening opens with a champagne reception, leading into a four-course meal served with wine. Quiz participants can expect a wide range of sporting questions, including rounds of “Guess the Mystery Sportsperson” and “What happened next?”. Exceptional auction prizes are lined up, such as a week’s skiing holiday in Austria’s Chalet Sonne and training sessions with boxing world champions.
KidsOut’s Question of Sport events date back to 2001 when KidsOut patron John Parrott was a team captain on the television show. All proceeds from the quiz go directly to helping disadvantaged children in and around the area. The past two events in Leeds have brought in record donations to the charity, with hopes raised even higher for this year. Gordon Moulds, KidsOut CEO, said: “Leeds is one of the biggest events of our year and always has a good atmosphere. We owe a lot to all our supporters and the Leeds Committee for making it possible. Without their tireless work KidsOut would not be able to restore happiness to the tens of thousands of disadvantaged children we work with.”
