Employability in the Third Sector in Leeds

Over the past 6 months, Leeds Community Foundation have been having a number of meetings with locally-based companies about how they can re-invest time, talent & resources back into local communities.

One of the topics that is regularly raised is the question of employability and, in particular, what can be done to help those furthest away from the labour market to gain employment.  Some companies are making a direct impact – by providing a job. Others find this more difficult, but still want to help.

LCF is currently considering what our role might be in this important area.  We are not looking to get involved in direct delivery, but we do think we may be able to generate some funds to invest in third sector groups that are already helping people into employment.

Knowing what you are already doing will also help us signpost companies to you, if they want to get involved directly.

In order to do this, we need your help in completing this short questionnaire and returning it to us by Friday 17th June 2016.  Once completed, please return to: Gail Lewis, Leeds Community Foundation, 51a St Paul’s Street, Leeds LS1 2TE or email to gail@leedscf.org.uk
