Youth Justice Volunteers learn to rebuild ancient drystone walls in Nidderdale

Youth Giving Time Volunteers rebuild old walls.

Youth Giving Time project and Leeds Youth Justice Service have made a great start to a project that will see young people help restore a damaged historic dry stone wall in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Beauty.

Youth Giving Time worker Ralph Berry organised the group to help with Volunteering projects being supported by Youth Giving Time and local youth project Youth Point in Leeds. Working with Tracey Blackwell, the Walling Tutor, the group has begun to rebuild a broken section of wall near Coldstones Cut above Pateley Bridge.
