LeedsACTS! and the Third Sector Partnership are hosting a joint event to discuss working more creatively and effectively to meet the needs of the people of Leeds.LeedsACTS! and the Third Sector Partnership are hosting a joint event on Monday 3 October at the Civic Hall to discuss how the third sector and public sector can work together to respond to service pressures and diminishing budgets and meet the needs of the people of Leeds.
The objective is to bring together about 100 – 130 colleagues from the voluntary and community sector and the public sectors (council, health, universities, police etc).
They will be asked to:
- share key challenges for their institutions or sector in light of current priorities and diminishing funds
- set out their expectations of the third sector and communities
- share information about innovations and new ways of working in Leeds and beyond that respond to these challenges
- explore opportunities to roll out and contribute to these new ways of working and generate ideas for other new ways of working
There are enormous expectations of the third sector by the public sector as budgets diminish and the Council and others are forced to priorities where and what services are delivered. This session is intended to inform and influence the reshaping of services, investment and voluntary led initiatives.
A full agenda will be available soon, so until then, save the date and watch this space for updates!
