Take part in Safeguarding Week 17 - 23 October

Leeds is participating in a West Yorkshire wide Safeguarding Week 17th to 23rd October and we would like Third and Voluntary Sector groups to get involved.

This joint initiative, which includes Safeguarding Children Board’s from across West Yorkshire, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and Adult Safeguarding Boards, is used to promote safeguarding activities within organisations and raise their profile across West Yorkshire. These activities will be promoted through the press and social media.   This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the work that you do to protect and safeguard the children, young people and families of Leeds, by hosting an event or activity within your organisation that takes place within Safeguarding Week.   Activities can be anything from a safeguarding training event, coffee morning with parents or open day for your organisation to something even bigger!!!!!!. This is entirely up to you.   You may already have an activity already planned during that week, if so then we would love to hear about it so we can promote it as part of Safeguarding Week.   All organisations taking part will be issued the “Safeguarding Week” logo to use on their website or printed materials, and your event will feature on the LSCB website with a link to your own website.   If you would like to take part please email the following information to the LSCB by 9th September: leedsLSCB@leeds.gov.uk
  • The name of your activity/ event/ training course
  • The date and time it is taking place
  • A description of the activity
  • The full address of the activity,
  • The target audience (who should attend)
  • A link to your web page
You can also contact us on: leedsLSCB@leeds.gov.uk if you have any questions.   Thank you in advance for your continued support.
