How Can the Third Sector Help Address Poverty and VAL AGM

Join us on 22 September for the Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) AGM and to hear about the initial findings of our recent survey "How can the Third Sector help address poverty?"

Boy in Library

When: Thursday 22 September at 10am to midday

Where: Stringer House, 34 Lupton Street, Leeds, LS10 2QW

Background to the Event

Many of the third sector organisations VAL works with have identified ‘tackling poverty’ as the No. 1 priority for Leeds and have clear ideas on what the city should be doing to help address it. But these ideas need support to be further developed into coherent packages of activity.

So this research is very solutions focused and aims to lead to a number of proposals that can be discussed with strategic partners and potential funders.

The AGM will also include a contribution from a Key Note Speaker (to be confirmed) who will provide an insight into broader work on poverty and reflections on the outcomes of the research.

The event will end with a networking lunch at 12.

Come and see the newly refurbished Stringer House!

This is also an opportunity to come and see the recent refurbishment of Stringer House and talk to staff over a cup of tea. We think you will be pleasantly surprised at the transformation.

We look forward to seeing you at the Event. Please confirm your attendance
