The OneFamily Foundation has made £360,000 funding available for community groups and projects in the UK as part of their latest round of Community Awards. The OneFamily Foundation was set up by financial mutual, OneFamily, to redistribute a proportion of its profits to help customers, their families and communities.
OneFamily customers with an active policy can nominate a project for a Community Award, giving groups in their local area the opportunity to win a £5,000 or £25,000 grant.
Projects can be entered into the following categories:
- Heath, Disability and Social Care
- Education (up to 500 students)
- Education (more than 500 students)
- Sports & Social Clubs
- Youth & Affiliated Organisations
The Community Awards now boast a brand new category - Developing Skills.
Unlike the other categories, this is where a person is nominated, rather than a group project. That individual is awarded up to £5,000 to train or learn a new skill that can be taken back into their local community - ideal for anyone who wants to volunteer, but lacks funding for the relevant training.
A total of seven Developing Skills awards are available.
The closing date for nominations is midday on Wednesday 26th October. All entries can be submitted at the OneFamily Foundation website.
Terms and Conditions apply.
A public vote will determine the winners in each category. Voting runs from 2nd November – 30th November 2016.
