Tuesday 15 InterFaith Tree Planting 2.30pm The Mayor and Mayoress of Wakefield will be taking part in Wakefield Interfaith Group’s symbolic tree planting in Thornes Park, adding to the Faith Tree Trail of Oak Trees with a Chestnut-leafed Oak. Meet in the Denby Dale Road carpark WF2 8DY. People of all faiths or none with a love of trees and the environment are welcome. Share readings about trees from different faith traditions followed by refreshments in St James’s Church, Denby Dale Road WF2 8EB.

Saturday 3 Peace Witness 10.45am - 11.15am Meet outside Wakefield Cathedral for Wakefield Interfaith Network witness for peace, planned for the first Saturday of every month. Join our 5-minute silent witness at 11am. “We stand in witness to the humanity of all people and our common abhorance of violence, of terrorism and of war. Please join us to witness to these our common concerns.”
