The Doing Things Differently event was held on 3 October in the Banqueting Suite at Civic Hall and was attended by over 120 people from the academic, statutory, third and community sectors. The event opened with a series of brief presentations about the key challenges and expectations of third sector, communities and other partners, and was followed up with a small group discussions. The second half focussed on examples of new ideas and ways of working, and followed up by discussions for new ideas and opportunities for doing things differently.

The feedback on the event was positive and a report will be shared in due course.

Following on from DTDLeeds,  A New Approach to Housing Roundtable discussion will be held on 23 Nov at ARK on Hovingham Avenue, Harehills, LS8 3QY Leeds  from  13:30 -16:00. Catering will be supplied by Toast Love Coffee, part of the Real Junk Food Project network of cafes, which is based at ARK.

It was decided not to have an event in January as originally planned but to spend the time preparing the launch of the seedcorn funding and to support the Lankelly Chase and other events as and when they are arranged.

The Voluntary Action Leeds Communication Portal is now up and running. VAL is inviting people to sign up to the portal via the Doing Good Leeds website and then sign up to the forums that of interest. Under the #DTDLeeds you can follow the conversations from the main event and any subsequent events.

There have been  updates made to the LeedsACTS! webpage, including images and a new Events section.

Date of the next meeting is Tuesday 10 January 2017 13:00 -15:00 location TBC
