24 January 2017
Friday 3 February | 1.30pm - 3.30pm | Stringer HouseThird Sector Leeds, as part of its Economy and Enterprise strand would like to invite you to a workshop on the Leeds Growth Strategy as part of a consultation process which is currently underway.
The background to this is that Leeds City Council is currently developing a new Leeds Growth Strategy to take us forward from 2017. The revised strategy will then form the basis of a delivery plan to support economic growth in the future.
It will identify key sectors and locations for growth, alongside regeneration, housing, skills, transport and infrastructure opportunities. The Leader of Leeds City Council, Councillor Judith Blake, has a clear vision for Leeds that it is a “compassionate city with a strong economy” and this does give permission for a fresh approach to determining what the Growth Strategy might focus on. This means that, as well as looking at economic growth and increased productivity, we also need to look at the impact of the economy on poverty, disadvantage, health, employment and other key issues.
We would therefore like to invite people from third sector organisations interested in economy and enterprise to a consultation event so that you can have an input into what you think should be included in the Leeds Growth Strategy.
