New volunteer befriending project at Carers Leeds

Carers Leeds is looking to recruit volunteer befrienders for this exciting new project which aims to improve the mental wellbeing of family carers aged 18 - 65.

We are looking for volunteers of any age who have been/who are currently carers themselves and have experienced some of the difficulties and stresses which can be experienced as a carer or who have an interest in supporting carers.

Volunteers would need to feel able to talk confidently to carers on a 1:1 basis, either by meeting up with them, talking on the telephone or maybe even by Skype! Full training will be provided for this exciting and fulfilling role.

If you would like to find out more about how to apply to become a volunteer or more about the service in general, please contact Nikki Pattinson, Carers Befriending Co-ordinator on 07508 885898 or e-mail: nikki.pattinson@carersleeds.org.uk  or to download an application pack please visit out website: www.carersleeds.org.uk/_vacancies/
