Since November of 2016, we have been consulting with people around Leeds to find out what is important to them about LGBT+ communities in the city, what assets already exist, and where the gaps might be.
The contribution your group, project, or organisation has made to Leeds’ LGBT+ life has been recorded by this project.
Mapping formal and informal LGBT+ activity, the report provides a snapshot of Leeds’ LGBT+ landscape, highlighting strengths and challenges for LGBT+ people in the city. This report looks at how LGBT+ people in Leeds shape their communities and what is needed to better resource them.
Informed by the results of our community survey, this report also highlights health and wellbeing and community safety experiences of LGBT+ people in Leeds.
This report is a starting point to tell us where we are, and where we might like to go. It will be used for future provision of services and funding, working toward making Leeds a great place for LGBT+ people to live, love, play, work and thrive.
