Public Space Protection Orders

Please help shape new anti-social behaviour powers available to Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Police by completing this online survey.

Leeds currently has 18 Designated Public Place Orders (DPPOs), which do not allow people to consume alcohol within certain ‘public places'. Following the changes in the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, Leeds City Council has to reconsider its DPPOs and either withdraw or replace them with the new Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs). We need to do this by October 2017.   We want to replace all 18 DPPOs with PSPOs to help resolve anti-social behaviour.   Leeds City Council, West Yorkshire Police, and Community Safety Partners including Ward Councillors believe that the existing DPPOs have helped agencies. We want to know if you agree with the views of Leeds City Council, West Yorkshire Police, and Community Safety Partners.

The consultation starts on Monday 12 June 2017  and closes on Sunday 16 July 2017.   If you need further information – email:  LASBT@leeds.gov.uk, write to Stephen Stewart, PSPO consultation, Safer Leeds, Leeds City Council, Deacon House,  Seacroft Avenue,  Leeds LS14 6JD, or call 0113 378 8099.
