Third Sector Leeds (TSL) are looking for a dynamic individual to become our new Independent Chair so that we can continue to support 'a third sector that keeps Leeds thriving’.
Leeds has a vibrant and diverse community of charities and voluntary groups which currently faces huge opportunities and significant challenges. TSL, the strategic forum for the third sector in Leeds, works to ensure the needs and interests of those groups are effectively represented across the city.
The recent announcement of the departure of the current Chair, Dr Sally Hayes, means we are now looking to appoint an individual who can build on her work and provide independent scrutiny, challenge, leadership and strategic vision to TSL as we move forward.
Talented individuals with the vision and skills to help Charities and Community groups strengthen their vital work are currently needed more than ever — please consider how you could put your skills towards helping us Do Good in Leeds.
Kindly note, that due to the importance of ensuring the role retains its independence, the Chair should not currently be employed by a third sector organisation in Leeds.
Interested but want to know more? Dr Sally Hayes, the outgoing Chair of TSL, is available and happy to discuss the role with any interested candidates. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that £3000 will be available towards expenses to fulfil this role. This payment is inclusive of all travel and transport costs and can be shared with the TSL Deputy Chair depending on the allocation of duties.
The closing date for applications is Friday 22 September 2017 at 5pm.
