Leeds South Local Action Group Seeks 3 Third sector representatives & 3 resident representatives to join its Action Group

South Leeds CLLD Local Action Group is expecting to be successful in its applications for Community Led Local Development (CLLD) in the area, covering Beeston, Beeston Hill, Belle Isle, Holbeck, Hunslet, Middleton and the Newlands area of Morley.
 
The programme will run from 2015 to 2022. The programme will continue when the UK leaves the EU.
 
The group is seeking to recruit three Third sector (voluntary and community) representatives & three resident representatives who will be interested in serving on the cross sector group which will oversee the programme.
 
The delivery of the programme will be overseen by a Local Action Group which is drawn from the local community, the public, private and third sector. In Leeds South this is chaired by the Vicar of Beeston Lindsay Pearson
 
The local development strategy targets the following groups as priorities:-
  • Sex workers seeking to leave the industry
  • People with disabilities including learning disabilities
  • Workless families
A commitment to improving lives and to working hard for South Leeds is the key quality we are seeking. This is a working role and will involve a consistent commitment of time to supporting the work of the Local Action Group. Training will be available to support you in this important role, and out of pocket expenses will be paid.
