Stigma and Refugee Awareness Workshop for Young People

The British Red Cross Youth Education Team is offering FREE Stigma and Refugee awareness workshops to young people.

Through the use of conversation, participation and interactivity the young people are encouraged to think empathetically about the current refugee crisis that is so prevalent at the moment.

The programme runs over 1-4 sessions and a key outcome is to reduce discrimination towards asylum seekers and refugees, and to improve community cohesion.

The workshops aims to create empathy by asking young people to look at why people have to flee their home countries, and some of the difficulties they face upon entering a new country.

If you would to discuss the sessions further please contact Abigail Roach (Youth Education Coordinator for West Yorkshire).
