The Engaging Voices project
The CCG funded Asset Based Engagement project Engaging Voices has been delivered by Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) for almost four years. Over that time our Engaging Voices partners have enabled us to capture and report the views of people and communities regularly missed from mainstream NHS patient and public involvement, allowing commissioners to achieve a better understanding of the impact of proposals on Leeds communities.
VAL and Leeds CCG have always aspired to enhance the voice of marginalised people and communities, breakdown barriers to engagement, and promote meaningful dialogues between third sector groups and commissioners across the engagement process. Through Engaging Voices, and our wider engagement work within the Leeds Voices programme, we have made good progress, but there is more we can do to improve how we hear the voices of individuals and communities in the city. This workshop provides an opportunity to inform our future work – please join us to share your views and be part of this work.
