Dying Matters Leeds Training Course

Leeds Bereavement Forum will hold a one day training course for staff and volunteers, working with people approaching end of life in Leeds, to help them hold conversations about death, dying and loss.

How to have sensitive conversations around death, dying and bereavement

Date: Wednesday 20 March 2019

Venue: Blacks Solicitors’ Training Room, City Point, 29 King St, Leeds LS1 2HL
Time: 10am-3.30pm (Registration from 9.30am)

The course aims to:
  • Increase awareness and understanding around end of life planning, and bereavement
  • Explore when, and how, to signpost on to appropriate organisations.
  • Give participants an opportunity to practice holding sensitive conversations in a safe space.
The course will cost just £25 for staff and volunteers at Leeds City Council, council commissioned services/agencies and third sector organisations but there are a limited number of spaces available.

Originally devised by Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice and delivered by Leeds Bereavement Forum, the session has been subsidised by Dying Matters Leeds so priority will be given to face to face practitioners working with people approaching end of life in Leeds.
