Interested in finding out more about volunteering in Leeds?
Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) and the Leeds Volunteer Managers’ Network are hosting a Volunteer Recruitment Fair on Tuesday 25 June at The Event Space, Kirkgate Market, Leeds from 12pm to 5pm.
The event is open to members of the public, to drop-in and find out more about volunteering, meet the organisations recruiting volunteers and find out about the hundreds of roles available across the city.
Over 60 organisations looking to recruit volunteers in Leeds will be exhibiting at the fair, with stalls, information and people to talk to.
Organisations include: The Children's Society, St Giles Trust, Advonet, MHA Live at Home Leeds, Richmond Hill Elderly Action, Home-Start Leeds, Citizens Advice Leeds, Leeds North and West Foodbank, Chapeltown Citizens Advice, RSPCA, Hyde Park Source, Yorkshire Dance, Bramley Elderly Action, Victim Support, Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, FareShare Yorkshire, Leeds Youth Justice Service, Leeds Cancer Awareness Programme. People In Action, Behind CLosed Doors. Yorkshire Air Ambulance, PATH Yorkshire, Feel Good Factor, Leonard Cheshire, Leeds Libraries, Leeds Cares, Caring Together in Woodhouse & Little London, Touchstone Support Leeds, Live Well Leeds, The Old Fire Station, Leeds Healthwatch Leeds, Leeds Asylum Seekers' Support Network. Tales of a City Tours, Canopy housing, St Vincent's Support Centre and others.
We hope the fair will get more people into volunteering, allowing people to share their time, skills and knowledge to help the wider community. Its also a great way to learn new skills, met new people and learn from those around you.
